
Piano Concert

Featuring Dr. Mark Laverty

The concert will feature the piano works of the Three B’s - Bach, Beethoven, Brahms – and Martin Luther, and will include sacred and classical selections, including Toccata and Fugue in D Minor and English Suite in G Minor by Bach, the ‘Moonlight’ Sonata by Beethoven, a Prelude on ‘A Mighty Fortress’ and shorter pieces by Brahms.
Dr. Mark Laverty is the Music Director at Lord of Life and a St. Louis native. He has performed concerts throughout the United States and in Europe and holds the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. In addition to concertizing, Dr. Laverty maintains a thriving piano studio in Chesterfield where he teaches students ranging in age from 8 to 80. As Music Director at Lord of Life, he directs the choir, plays the piano and organ, and assists with church service planning. , and refreshments served at a post-concert reception.
